Shore Excursions
A wide variety of shore excursions are provided by Turku Touring (Turku City Tourist Information) to visiting cruise lines. Here are a few described in detail, more excursions can be tailor-made upon request. The length of excursions varies from 1,5 to 6,5 hours. Transportation is by coach. An expert guide adds an extra spark to Turku's eventful history, colourful culture and the surrounding provinces with the beautiful archipelago. The tour languages available in addition to Finnish are Catalonian, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
In 2009 four new excursions especially for cruise guests are available:
- Reach for the stars with Tuorla Observatory
- Enjoy a Nordic walk in the world’s most beautiful archipelago
- Take a tour in a city where the Middle Ages meets Marimekko
- Experience the music of Sibelius where it was born
