Cruise Calls

Turku is a small cruise destination but with prospect to grow. This season we welcome  at least three vessels. The cruise vessels will be greeted by music at the pier.  A shuttle bus operates between the pier and the city centre throughout the call stopping at Turku Castle both ways. The centre is only three km from the port, and it can also be reached by foot through a scenic promenade along the riverbank.

Turku has been characterised by cruise guests as a clean and safe city with friendly people and good service. They also like the compact size of the city offering plenty of interesting sights and events. 

Turku offers free reception of lavatory water from cruise vessels calling in 2013. This is part of Port of Turku's contribution to the efforts of saving the Baltic Sea.
