The Turku Region as a logistics centre

The Turku region development strategies focus strongly on logistics. The region is the centre of Scandinavian traffic in Finland, and the Port of Turku has played a major role in achieving that position.

Telematics and networking will create opportunities for intensive growth of scheduled traffic and a wide range of services in the Baltic Sea in the future. Separate regional logistics projects also support the development of the Port of Turku, as well as providing the customers with an opportunity to develop new transport solutions that utilise all modes of transport, i.e. sea, road, rail and air traffic.
